Every person deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare, regardless of where they live or what they can afford. Yet, across the world, people continue to face barriers to the care they need. Behind every barrier is a human being, a family, and a community whose health and well-being matter.

Achieving healthcare for everyone requires global commitment, cooperation, and action.

 The World Health Organization (WHO) publication, World health statistics 2026: monitoring health for the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), provides an important resource for understanding global health and progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Two goals are especially relevant to global healthcare:Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for everyone, at every age, including access to quality healthcare.

Goal 10: Reduced InequalitiesReducing inequalities within and between countries, including unfair barriers that prevent people from accessing the healthcare they need.
